This is one of the most enjoyable, satisfying albums I've heard on Jamendo, and one of the best albums I've heard all year.

It's an odd kind of industrial pop, like a more chart-friendly Nine Inch Nails; but it lacks none of the bite of Reznor, it is simply lighter in tone and sound. The vocal style and general computerised rock feel are the most 'industrial'/Reznor-like aspects of the music; but Fresh Body Shop has his own definable personality and style that shine through on this record.

It is impossible to pick a favourite track; they are all excellent. The songwriting is extremely well balanced, and I can see the songs easily becoming radio hits or being covered by mainstream rock acts.

Fresh Body Shop has a great sense of melody, rhythm, songwriting and general production. Make It End sounds professional, both in production and execution, and makes for a very promising future. I imagine with a full band, these songs would really set a live venue on fire - but on record, a full band is not necessary.

I imagine this having wide appeal - for those who like their pop music with a raw, rough edge, or those who like raw, rough music with a pop sheen, great melodies and solid 'industrial' production.

This is not an album that will blow you away with rock theatrics or a huge sound - it is small and satisfying, intimate and emotional, and compares very favourably with mainstream bands such as Foo Fighters or Nine Inch Nails.

I am happy giving this album a '10' because I can see nothing that can be done to improve it!

One of the best records on Jamendo! Reminds me of NIN and Beck mixed up together. Absolutely amazing!

Super

An excellent fresh faced industiral, rock, pop, album, with wonderful sound effect, fast, energetic, passionate sounding music and lyrics, with an excellent singer, who gives the lyrics that edge, and an excellent professional band to top it off.

Top Top Top! It rocks my world, this is the kind of trent reznor i wanted to stay in regards of pop song structure after pretty hate machine(which was his best album by the way)
Industrial, but with pop structure :)

This is a great album. It is very 90's rock/industrial. Love the bass.

I love this album! Definitely reminiscent of Beck and Nails, but I actually like this BETTER than BOTH!! Mostly because, I see so much potential here. Fresh Body Shop doesn't seem to be locked into one particular sound. The songs on this album are NOT all the same and I think the variation, a little polish and some more experimentation will be what defines this band and sets it apart from the others. Don't be afraid to be daring, it will make you. Much Love & Keep on Grooving :)

Fresh Body Shop is one of my favorite artists. I'm not going to qualify it saying, "on Jamendo" or "free on the net." I'm going to say that FBS is one of my favorite artists, and that's it.

Few artists (much less free ones) have tried to beat Reznor at his own game. For the most part, Nine Inch Nails rules the Industrial genre, being the post popular and most deep, intimate, interesting. Fresh Body Shop takes a bit of the metal out of NIN, emphasizes a lot of the pop elements, but never loses any quality.

As for Make This End, the first FBS album I heard, it's weakness is that only a few tracks are really good. "The Middle Line" is probably the best Industrial track I've heard in years, and songs like "Angry Machine" and "Locked In" really embolden that rock/pop/industrial feel that you simply cannot get anywhere else. Not even NIN does it quite like this. But other songs on the album are less than interesting, though average.

Other reviews have discussed the lack of "polish" in the songs, but I beg to differ. It sounds great, plays fantastically, and is one of the best albums you can get for free. A download worthy of anyone's bandwidth.
